Audi E-Tron Ready To Race

Audi have entered the futuristic E-Tron electric car into the Silvretta E-Auto Rally due to be held this year is Austria. The E-Tron is claimed to put down just over 3,300 pounds of torque through it’s 4 electric motor, 4 wheel drive power-train. The Venturi Buckeye Bullet 2

This is the fastest electric car in the world, by a wide margin. The Ohio State University has been developing quite a name for itself in speed racing circles with the vehicle pictured above, the hydrogen fuel cell powered electric drive Venturi Buckeye Bullet 2. Students from the Center for Automotive Research at Ohio State built the Buckeye 2 and in 2007 they set the fastest ever time for a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle at 300.992 mph.  Lanjut →

The Yokohama EV Sports Concept HER-02 Buggy

Looking rather a lot like the remote controlled car I wish I had owned in the 80’s the Yokohama EV Sports Concept HER-02 Buggy (bit of a mouthful of a name, I know) is going to be making an assault on the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, a 12.5 mile, 4,271 foot climb around 156 corners and is hoping to beat its predecessors time of  14:50.754 set last year, incidentally the quickest time for any car is 10:01.408. MotoCzysz Wins The 2010 TT Zero

American electric motorcycle builder MotoCzysz has taken the top step of the podium at this year’s TT Zero race in the Isle of Man, they almost claimed the first ever 100mph lap (average speed) for which the Isle of Man government offered a £10,000 prize for the first team that hits the mark on an electric motorcycle.
