The 200kph MÜNCH TTE-1 Electric Superbike
Münch is one of those motorcycle brands that only really dedicated fans of two wheeled vehicles will remember. In short, Münch was/is a German motorcycle manufacturer that produced some remarkable bikes between 1966 and 1980 that used powerful car engines. The bikes are the stuff of legend and were only ever produced in very small numbers (think 15 at a time).
The Münch name was revived in the late 90s and is now undergoing a sort of second rebirth, this time as an electric motorcycle racing team. Their first bike, the MÜNCH TTE-1 is capable of over 200kph and has a range of between 40 and 150kms depending on engine configuration. The bike weighs in at 220kgs and produces 90kW (~120hp) via a 3-phase synchronious motor.
The MÜNCH TTE-1 will be racing in the e-Power International Championship and we’ll be sure to bring you news, results and additional photos once it gets underway.
