Electric Smart Roadster On The Way?
Smart have filed a patent application for the above pictured electric roadster, the sporty electric two door may have a future as a production model although in the short term it is expected to be shown as a concept car at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
It seems that this is set to be the design language of future Smart cars, the added curves and swept back front end certainly add appeal to the otherwise boxy design of the Smart Car series. The new Smart Roadster follows on closely from Smart’s Crossblade cabriolet styling, the Crossblade was initially released in 2001 at the Geneva Motor Show and went on to a limited production run of 2,000 units (picture below).
Would you use a car like the Smart Roadster as a daily driver?
