The Lightning Fast Exagon Furtive e-GT

Racing car builder Exagon Engineering have thrown their hat into the increasingly crowded electric car ring with the Exagon Furtive e-GT pictured above and below. Exagon has claimed an electric-only range of 400 kilometres (249 miles) with a small gasoline range-extending engine that adds another 400 kilometres after the batteries have been drained.

Featuring a 2+2 seating arrangement the e-GT can sprint from 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds (that’s quicker than the Tesla Roadster). With dual Siemens electric motors pumping out 340hp the top speed will be up over 250 kilometres per hour (155mph).

Exagon hopes to begin producing Furtive e-GTs by 2012 and they haven’t yet released any pricing info, but we expect it to cost 2-3 times as much as a Tesla Roadster.

I believe we need more brands like Exagon and Renault, driving customer awareness using innovative concepts …
